Local Storage

Your listening queue and listening history are stored locally on your device using your browser's built-in storage (localStorage). This data exists only on your device and is not accessible to anyone else. It is not transmitted to any server or third party. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser data or by using the "Clear All" and "Clear" buttons within the tool. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser cache will also remove this data.

OCR Processing

When you upload an image or use the camera feature, the OCR engine runs entirely within your browser. The image is processed locally on your device. No images are uploaded to any server for processing. The OCR library is loaded from a content delivery network (CDN) on first use and cached locally for subsequent uses. The CDN provider may log standard web server access information (IP address, timestamp) as part of normal CDN operation, but no image data or extracted text is transmitted.

PDF Processing

When you upload a PDF document, the text extraction happens entirely within your browser. The PDF file is processed locally on your device. No PDF files are uploaded to any server. The PDF processing library is loaded from a CDN and cached locally. As with OCR, the CDN provider may log standard access information, but no document content is transmitted.

URL Fetching

When you use the URL feature, the requested webpage is fetched through a third-party proxy service to enable cross-origin access. This is necessary because web browsers prevent direct access to other websites for security reasons. The proxy service receives the URL you requested and returns the webpage content. The proxy may log the requested URL and standard access information as part of its normal operation. No personal data, device information, or user content is sent to the proxy beyond the requested URL. The article text extraction happens locally in your browser after the page content is received.

Text-to-Speech

Speech synthesis uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine (provided by your operating system). Some devices may use network-based voices that send text to a cloud service for processing. This is controlled by your device's TTS settings and is outside the control of Text to Speech Speaker. To ensure fully offline speech synthesis, you can download offline voice packs in your device settings. The tool itself does not send any text to any speech processing service.

Contact Form

If you use the contact form on the contact page, your name, email address, and message are transmitted through FormSubmit.co, a third-party form processing service. FormSubmit.co processes this data to deliver your message. FormSubmit.co's own privacy policy applies to the handling of contact form submissions. No contact form data is stored by Text to Speech Speaker beyond the email delivery.

Cookies and Tracking

Text to Speech Speaker does not use any tracking cookies, analytics services, or user identification mechanisms. The site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking tools. Third-party advertising services (if enabled) may set their own cookies as described in their respective privacy policies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Advertising

This site may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
